Linagliptin + dapagliflozin is a once-daily, oral fixed-dose combination for type 2 diabetes mellitus (t2dm). Dapagliflozin, an sglt2 inhibitor, reduces blood sugar by promoting urinary glucose excretion, while linagliptin, a dpp-4 inhibitor, increases incretin levels, enhancing pancreatic insulin secretion and reducing glucagon levels. This dual action delivers effective glycemic control, cardiovascular and renal protection, and supports weight loss

Indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus (t2dm), especially in patients inadequately controlled by metformin, to improve glycemic control, reduce hba1c, and lower cardiovascular and renal risk .
Common adverse effects: genital or urinary tract infections, nasopharyngitis, headache, increased urination, hypoglycaemia (usually with other glucose-lowering drugs), and mild gastrointestinal symptoms. Most events are mild and transient
